For CHARMANT, a leading eyewear frame manufacturer, the pursuit of better materials is nothing short of a mission. Materials that are safe, easy to process for greater design freedom, and above all, capable of creating exceptional eyewear comfort. The development of a “dream material” was a journey marked by countless failures and small successes. After eight years of joint research with the Institute for Materials Research at Tohoku University, a miraculous breakthrough was achieved: a new material for eyewear frames — Excellence Titan.
This innovative material has even been granted a patent.

For over 20 years, CHARMANT has studied head shapes in detail. Based on our extensive data, we created sizes and temple curves that gently wrap around the contours of the head for a perfectly comfortable fit.

Typically, the force applied to the temples varies, depending on the frame’s design and material. However, through years of research, we have developed a design that ensures an optimal and comfortable level of side pressure for every frame.
